The specialists of «ASC» company have produced and tested a new modular frequency converter, implemented with equipment series MD880 by “INOVANCE” manufacturer, having the following characteristics: 1400kW, 690V, 1500A.
The bench load tests of a cabinet-type modular frequency converter were a success. The converter is designed for mud pump motor control.

The converter consists of three control cabinets:
— control and lead-in cabinet, In=2500А;
— rectifier cabinet consisting of 2 modules of semi-controlled rectifiers; characteristics per module (without overload): Un = 690V (525~690V) ±10% (-15%,<1min）; In (AC)=815А ; In (DC)=998А ; Pn (DC)=929kW;
— inverter cabinet, consisting of 3 modules; characteristics per module (without overload): Un = 690V (525~690V),±10%（-15%,<1min）; In (AC)=530А ; Pn (АC)=500kW.
Proceeding from the positive test results CJSC «ASC» now launches a series production of a new line of modular frequency converters built using the equipment series MD880 by “INOVANCE”.
