«3D stock» system for hot-rolled coil storage area.
The object of stock- taking of «3D stock» system for the afore-mentioned area is a hot-rolled coil.
The system has been designed for 11 cranes. It includes equipment for determining X, Y ,Z coordinates, weighing a hoisted cargo, gathering data from crane monitoring systems, video camera, crane operator’s workstation, WiFi communication equipment.
Wired and WiFi networks for on-ground operation of the cranes and mobile vehicles were set up. Video surveillance devices were installed. Equipment for tracking of coil transfers along hot-rolled coil conveyor No.1, hot-rolled coil conveyor No.2, CPL-3 feeder unit, CPL-4 entry line and stand-alone down-tilter was provided too.
3D stock system automatically registers the moves of all objects to be taken stock of within the area mentioned, while forming a virtual 3D site map, which allows to implement the function of automatic crane travel job scheduling and setup. The works completed have optimized performance of the area, while excluding unnecessary metal transfers and improving labour safety.
