Engineering enterprise "Automated systems and complexes" (ASC) was founded in 1989 by the staff of start-and-adjustment department of "Uralelectromontazh" trust.

Nowadays the "ASC" enterprise is one of the largest Russian enterprises, specializing in the field of comprehensive workflow automation in various production spheres with application of modern computer-aided facilities and digital drive control systems.

We produce systems for foundry-rolling complexes, hot- and cold-rolling mills, section rolling mills, rod mills, sheet and tube-rolling mills, presses and furnaces. We develop and implement modern electric drives and control systems for lift-and-carry machinery. We create MES-systems for shops and enterprises with the use of up-to-date network technologies and workflow modeling, workstations for technologists, maintenance staff, supervisors on basis of  Simatic IT and Broner-Metals software; We’ve generated energy-saving traction converters for AC and DC electric transport with capacity of 50-250 KW; We are developing microprocessor control systems for operation of trains and coal-transport systems of ports and coal terminals.

The "ASC" staff includes more than 265 experienced specialists working with drives and comprehensive workflow automation systems.

Alongside with design works, manufacturing of object-oriented products and commissioning works, the enterprise carries out independent developments of control systems and units, meeting requirements to modern production, and other challenging trends.

The enterprise includes testing laboratory with specimens of equipment of different companies, used in projects. Test desks enable debugging of hardware and hardware-software systems, drives and automation systems, performance of repair and test works, training.

The enterprise is an authorized service partner for warranty and after-sales service of drive facilities of ÀÂÂ, SIEMENS, Schneider Electric companies. We offer initial inspection of out-of-service equipment, troubleshooting, maintenance and warranty repair. We also perform delivery of spare parts and revamp of equipment.

Assembly and testing of object-oriented low-voltage complete units is performed in shop departments by efficient and experienced electricians. The shop is equipped with modern equipment for production and trimming of  “ALFRA” buses, wiring tool of “Phoenix Contact”, ” GPH” companies, etc.

Equipment for shipment is packed into polyethylene film with “air cushions”. The film is made on an up-to-date machine with possibility of selecting the “cutting as per size” or perforation settings.

The enterprise regularly makes investments into development and expansion of resource and maintenance base, acquires most modern means for execution of commissioning and erection works. The overhaul of shopfloors and warehouses resulted in increase of their space by 4 times. There was installed new equipment for automation of loading-unloading operations, beam crane 7,5 tons and high-level storage racks. The expansion of production floor spaces enabled serial production of complete container-type electrical rooms – promising solution, which allows to significantly reduce expenses for building of commercial plants and metallurgical facilities, as well as time of equipment commissioning, due to high grade of manufacture.

All scope of works in the field of automation, starting with engineering and finishing with commissioning, is implemented in compliance with Russian and international standards.

Our enterprise is an official partner and dealer of “SIEMENS” company of Automation&Drive department, a certified systems integrator in the field of electric drive and computer-aided facilities, has a status of competence centre for SIMADYN/SIMATIC TDC, and participates in Solution Partner program.

The employees of the enterprise have been certified by ROSTECHNADZOR authorities as to industrial safety regulations for metallurgical and by-product coke plants and enterprises, safety rules for steel-making and foundry engineering, explosive chemical, petrochemical and petroleum refining industries, gas distribution and gas-consuming systems (design and commissioning works).

Figureheads of the enterprise are the members of tutorial council of “Electric drive and Automation” department of UGTU-UPI, the four of its employees are the members of the state certification committee of above-mentioned department. “Automated systems and complexes” (ASC), jointly with other local companies, have equipped the laboratory of “Modern drive facilities”, which is located in UGTU-UPI and for the time being is one of the best laboratories in the territory of Russia.

Our staff includes one Doctor of Engineering and 10 candidates of technics.

According to results of All-Russian competition "The Engineer of 2006" our specialists were awarded with prize-winner diplomas in such nominations as "Transport (urban and rail transport)" and “Radio engineering, electronics and communication”.
