17.02.2016 Modernization of electrical equipment for stands No.13 and No.14 of copper wire rod mill.
ASC specialists finished modernization of Contirod plant electrical equipment for Katur-Invest JSC, UMMC Holding, Verknyaya Pyshma.
The following mechanisms of copper wire rod mill were revamped: vertical stand No.13 and horizontal stand No.14.
Obsolete DC motors were replaced with water-cooled asynchronous electric motors. DC thyristor converters were replaced with SINAMICS S120 frequency converters with vector control.
Electric drives SINAMICS S120 were put into operation after commissioning. Necessary changes in SIMATIC S7 controller software were made.
Commissioning within 6th stage of Contirod drives revamping was finished in January 2016.
