Modernization of looping systems for copper wire rod mill finishing stands No.13 and No.14.
ASC specialists together with SMS representatives carried out modernization of looping systems for finishing stands No.13 and No.14 on Contirod unit for Katur-Invest JSC, UMMC-Holding, Verkhnyaya Pyshma. Design was prepared by SMS, commissioning was carried out by ASC and SMS in January 2016.
Modernization included eliminating loopers 2 and 3 on wire rod mill finishing stands.
The aim of looping system modernization was to ensure higher quality of copper wire rod and higher level of electrical equipment reliability as well as to reduce repair costs.
SIMATIC S7 software was modified; technical report on electrical equipment modernization was submitted.
