Replacement of electric drives of cold-rolling mill 2000.
The works on replacement of electric drives of cold-rolling mill 2000 (shop No.16) were brought to an end in the first quarter of 2019. Replacement took place in the course of implementing the similarly-named project developed by CJSC «ASC». The works were fulfilled on a turn-key basis at the request of PJSC «VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation».
The following works were carried out in the framework of the project:
- disassembling of a five-machine propulsion unit with total weight of 200 tons; dismantling of old cable products, contactor-relay circuit boards and panels and pulse-phase control circuits of mill main drives;
- fabrication of a frame for installing the transformers, inductors and DC drives of CJSC «ASC» manufacture;
- installation of a frame attended by floor concrete pouring and refurbishing;
- a full range of electrical mounting works on cable laying and new electric equipment installation.
Both standard converters of «Siemens» manufacture and DC drives of CJSC «ASC» manufacture were employed in the project. Maximum current of converters equaled to 5000 amperes at voltage 600 volts.
Automation was built on basis of S7-400 controller («Siemens» manufacture) while visualizing stations (operator workstation and electrician workstation) were executed with the use of SCADA WinCC («Siemens»).
The start-up and adjustment activities resulted in adjustment of such systems as AGC system, automatic speed control system, screwdown structure control system.
Specified thickness accuracy equaled to 0,01mm.
