ASC developments for port needs.

Cooperation of «ASC» company and AO «Vostochny port» started in 2002 when ASC specialists replaced an obsolete railway station relay control system by microprocessor interlocking system (MIS) for controlling the train movements. Cooperation has continued on a regular basis since then and continues nowadays. This involves performance of works and supplies not only for rail facilities but also for process control systems and power supply equipment – 0,4 kV and 6 kV.

Over the last years by order and with the participation of OOO «UGMK-Telekom» specialists a number of activities were performed associated with coal terminal railway traffic control systems and creation of automation systems for pickup mechanisms and port infrastructure.

A wide range of design, erection supervision and commissioning works along with equipment supplies were provided while building and putting into service of the 3rd phase of coal loading terminal of Vostochny port. The process control system of a new 3rd phase was integrated with process control system of the current 2nd phase, while fulfilling all general functions of a single coal transshipping process.

Train traffic control systems:

  • Optical wagon number reading system.
  • Automated system of wagon foul-to-gauge detectors.
  • Integration of MIS-ASC with process control system of compressor station, on-site rail tracks and related rail infrastructure.
  • Integration of MIS with automated control system of wagon tipplers.
  • Remote control system of wagon chargers.

Conveying and loading equipment of the 3rd phase of coal loading complex:

  • Modernization of dedusting units.
  • Automated conveyor belt rupture control system.
  • Automated control system for integration of sampling units and scales with process control system central control room.
  • Automated conveyor vibration control system.
  • Warehousing machines (stackers and reclaimers) anti-collision process control system.
  • Process control system for integration of upper level of dedusters with conveyor equipment.
  • Commissioning of power supply equipment, including variable-frequency drives of wagon tipplers.
  • Automated control system for wagon tipplers.
  • Automated control system for hopper discharging.
  • Automated control system for integration of crushing and grading plants with process control system central control room.
  • Conveyor equipment process control system.
  • Automated public address system with automatic generation of broadcast signals from process control system.
  • Uninterruptible supply system for process control systems of the 3rd phase.
  • Electrical equipment power cabinets 0,4 kV and 6 kV for conveyors and auxiliary systems.

Data transfer systems and networks:

  • The system providing redundancy of communication (via WiFi) with warehousing and ship loading machines in connection with “loop-back” mode.
  • The system of data exchange between process control system of the 2nd phase and process control system of the 3rd phase for mutual backing-up of operation of central control rooms No.2 and reserve central control room No.3.
  • Correction of software of MITSUBISHI controllers of warehousing and ship loading machines (8 pieces in total) supplied by Marubeni company (MMM) with the view of establishing WiFi connection to process control system based on SIEMENS controllers.
  • Modernization of PROFIBUS net taking into account redundancy of rings/network segments.
  • The system generating reports on operation of automated control systems of the 3rd phase of coal loading complex.
  • Automated control system Employee log book; Automated control system Loading plan; Automated control system Warehouse (the system generating the coal ranks over the warehouse).
  • Modernization of network equipment switches and installation of database storage server (BACKUP copying).
  • The system of information security of process control system computer hardware.
  • The system monitoring performance of network communications and process control system signal transmissions.
