Addressed product accounting system «3D Warehouse».
The works on implementing the «3D warehouse» system at sheet rolling area No.2 (sheet rolling shop No.2) were completed.
At sheet rolling area No.2 the system was set up for 4 cranes: the equipment for determining X, Y and Z coordinates, metering the weight of a lifted load and data gathering from crane monitoring systems was installed, as well as video camera, crane operator’s workstation and WiFi communication equipment.
Wired and WiFi networks were laid for on-ground operation of the cranes and mobile devices.
The research activities relating to the use of lidar for determining position of the crane were conducted. The lidar experiment has revealed certain peculiarities with respect to the use of lidar for the purposes of the afore-mentioned task and it will be elaborated to the extent reasonably practical to be applied at other areas too.
The ground video observance system was implemented for monitoring operation of equipment of the area.
3D warehouse system automatically registers movement of all items to be accounted, while generating a virtual 3D site map, which will enable implementing a function of planning and generating of automatic crane travel job set-ups.
All of this allows to optimize performance of the area, exclude unnecessary metal transfer and improve labour safety.
