Upgrading the zinc coating control system.
The first stage of upgrade of a zinc coating control system has been completed. It involved:
- • Design, delivery, erection and adjustment of a new equipment set, based on S7-1518 controller, and visualization station, WinCC-based, with application software, which tasks are as follows:
- – acquisition of data from master controller of the zinc bath mechanisms and issuing of control commands to it in order to maintain a preset zinc coating in automatic mode;
- – acquisition of data from the existent zinc coating measurement and control system by ThermoFisher;
- – acquisition of data from the upper level, which sets the zinc coat application parameters according to the process map;
- – interaction with a new DBMS for adaptive state filling of actuating mechanisms of a zinc bath to apply transitions when changing the zinc setpoints in automatic mode.
- • Design and implementation of soft gateways for interaction of:
- – the newly installed equipment with the existent upper-level systems by NLMK;
- – the newly installed equipment with a new DBMS.
- • Design and debugging of a new DBMS.
- • Design and adjustment of a cold zinc coating forecasting system for a hot measuring zone based on AI.
The second stage of upgrade will involve dismantling of the old system by ThermoFisher, consisting of control cabinets, a hot and cold thickness gauge. The cold thickness gauge will be replaced by a new one, which will be integrated into the new control system.
