The commissioning works on revamping of electric equipment for a vertical slotting machine have been finished.
In the course of work an old-fashioned machine control relay contactor circuit was replaced.
DC motors and voltage-control system gave way to S120 frequency-converter controlled squirrel-cage induction motors of “Siemens” manufacture. S7-315 controller and ET200S expansion racks were used as master controller. There were also installed the linear displacement transducers Newall and angular movement transducers LIR-390A, which showed an excellent performance in severe operating conditions of the machine (heavy concentration of dust inside shop, presence of metal shavings and lubricant on the machine).
The works conducted resulted in implementation of safe and up-to-date control system of the machine, enabling monitoring of all process variables of equipment and maintenance of alarm histories and operator action records, at customer’s site.
Owing to revamping, running accuracy of the mechanisms of the machine has comprised 0,01 mm.
