Soft start of synchronous motor of a ball mill.
There was put into commission an integrated soft start system for synchronous motor of a ball mill. Motor capacity – 2 MW, rated stator voltage – 6 kV.
Soft starter is implemented on basis of indirect frequency converter, executed with a load-commutated inverter. Control is executed via multilevel microprocessor system, ensuring fulfillment of process algorithms, high quality of troubleshooting within the electric drive and the machine on the whole and protection operation in case of emergency situations.
