Revamping of signaling and interlocking arrangements for tower and trackside equipment of shiploader No.3. The set of construction and assembly activities along with startup and commissioning works for microprocessor-based system “MPC-ASC” and axle counting system “CCO-ASC” was completed. The project provides for installation of axle counting system “CCO-ASC” enabling control of the track vacancy and occupancy and consisting of tower and trackside equipment that includes 20 sensors. At the same time it is still possible to change from axle counting system to rail track circuit system (as control room operator chooses). For the time being 50 axle counting stations “CCO-ASC” and 36 axle counting stations “Frauscher” have been installed. The server hardware of microprocessor-based systems “MPC-ASC” was revamped: three server PCs were installed and control room workstation displays were upgraded. The uninterruptible power supply was replaced by a new UPS of “EATON” manufacture with more batteries. The software of programmable logic controllers “Siemens” used in microprocessor-based system “MPC-ASC” was updated. Point sections and sections without points were upgraded too. The activities on upgrade of video archive viewer were undertaken. The construction and assembly works were fulfilled within the period from 15.11.17 to 15.12.17, start-up and commissioning works were fulfilled throughout the period from 15.12.17 to 27.12.17. Under severe service conditions of Vostochny port the microprocessor-based system “MPC-ASC” and axle counting system “CCO-ASC’ proved how safe and reliable they are. The customer in the person of JSC “Vostochny port” plans to proceed with providing all tracks of the 2nd phase railway yard with axle counting stations “CCO-ASC” while withdrawing from service the rail track circuits.
