Automatic control system for rail car retarders PH3-2M at two goods sidings no. 6 and no.7.
The system is intended to detect and stop the spontaneously uncoupled cars. It provides safe conditions in situations when the wagons run off thus reducing risk of accidents and, consequently, stoppages in production.
Axle counting system “CCO-ASC” monitors and measures velocity of the truck wage wheels before retarders. Depending on car velocity the automatic control system calculates a retarder tripping and brake release time. Thus the truck travels to a brake release position of the retarder subsequently followed by a brake position to avoid extrusion of wage wheels from the retarder.
Clear span availability control based on axle counting system “CCO-ASC” is implemented on two tracks with retarders PH3. Electrical isolation and lightning protection of communication channels on basis of control boards “PU-RI” of CJSC “ASC” manufacture are provided.
Control is implemented both via local control panel and automatically with display of retarder status on operator workstation.
