Upgrading of control system for mill stand L17 of finishing mill train "SIMAC".
The purpose of upgrading is reduction of risks of idle times by virtue of better outfitting of the mill with spare parts, tools and accessories along with using the state-of-the-art component parts supported by manufacturers.
The specialists of «ASC» company performed the following activities:
— diassembling of the existent thyristor converter DCS501B2503 and exciter DCF504A0050,
— installation and connection of thyristor converter DCS880-S02-2500 and exciter DCF803-0050 to existent control cabinet,
— adjustment of electric drive control loops,
— integration of the new converter with the existing mill control system;
— introduction of modifications in PLC software and visual display system.
