Reconstruction of hydraulic screwdown mechanisms at reversing hot-rolling mill «5000».
The new hydraulic cylinders of screwdown mechanisms with an increased piston diameter were installed at the mill. Based on the existent controller by Siemens, JSC ASC developed the new software, intended to control the position of hydraulic screwdown mechanisms with new cylinders. The works resulted in achieving the desired system response speed (the playback time of a position setpoint jump not more than 100 msec) and the playback accuracy (5 microns). It is now possible to produce the rolled sheets with a required thickness and flatness accuracy.
